Entropion

What is entropion?

Entropion is a condition where the eyelid edge with the eyelashes is turned inward toward the eyeball. This often results in injury to the corneal surface with the development of traumatic keratoconjunctivitis.

The patients experience eye pain, secretion of tears, mucus and pus is also possible as a result of conjunctival and corneal inflammation. The eyelid slit is narrowed or completely closed. The condition is mainly observed in elderly people.
